Some 210 local and international flights were canceled at the airports in Frankfurt and Munich due to heavy snow sweeping the southern and south central region of Germany. The administrations at both airports decided to cancel the flights due to the weather conditions that might cause slides and other mishaps.
Though the weather is improving gradually, the airports maintain their decision to cancel flights until airline companies and other competent authorities choose otherwise.
